How 4-Dice Enterprises Accidentally Became our Full-Time Job

Hi! We are Rodney and Kylee.

Some businesses start out with fancy plans, investors, or long boardroom meetings. Ours started with a couch… and a doorway that clearly had beef with us.

Kylee’s dream car was a van. A huge one! One she could go camping in, something she could shop in and not have to stuff her car, and something that could haul stuff she found on Facebook Marketplace without having to ask someone to borrow their bigger vehicle. She’s weird, but she got what she wanted. Happy wife, happy life, right?

One weekend, we were helping a friend move this monster sectional—like, the kind that looks normal in a living room but turns into a Tetris boss fight the minute you try to move it. We pushed, pulled, lifted, prayed, rotated, regretted life choices… but somehow, we won. The couch made it into the van (yes, we yelled “PIVOT!” numerous times), and everyone cheered like we’d just finished the Olympics.

The next weekend, someone else needed a treadmill moved.

Then a business needed a delivery.

Then we hauled a mattress that could easily double as a small continent.

Before we knew it, our weekends turned into, “Hey… does your van happen to be free?”

And of course, it always was.

Then—plot twist—life hit us with a double whammy: We both ended up losing our jobs.

Not ideal… unless you’re into stress.

But instead of panicking (okay, after mildly panicking), we looked at each other and said:

“Well… we already have a van. And apparently people love giving us their heavy stuff. Let’s actually do this.”

So we rolled the dice—literally, because Fordyce—and 4-Dice Enterprises, LLC was officially born.

What started as doing favors became our full-time, veteran-owned, family-run hustle. Now we haul couches, equipment, pallets, boxes, mystery items people swear aren’t haunted, and basically anything else that fits in the van without violating any laws of physics.

And honestly? Losing our jobs turned out to be one of the best things that ever happened to us. Because now, every day, we get to do something we love: work for ourselves, help people, lift heavy things, and dramatically yell “PIVOT!” at least twice a week.
